Alex Richard Threadgill was born in the early 1980’s and grew up in Stockwell, South London.

He began making art as an act of self discovery, to better understand the currents that flow just beneath the surface of his consciousness, and in the process found a profound joy in expressing (with as little interference or judgment as possible) that which wishes to be expressed.

This leads to works that represent both the sublime and the ordinary, often blending aspects of each.

And hopefully transmits some of the wit, surprise, and wonder of what lies beneath, to you, the observer.
